ANDROID SUCKS! IPHONE RULES!!! but seriously android os is too vulnerable and just like windows very easy to screw up for the uninformed. this problem is so widespread because android os is cheap therefore making it available too more people, a large percentage of which are people who dont know what their doing. thats why im a apple person, they hide the important stuff so stupid people cant screw it up, yet it is still accessible to people who know where to look and know what they are doing

Been using Android for 4 years now, no issues on my end. The claims of vulnerability are a bit outlandish TBH. Android is a very secure OS, close to iOS, if not better, in terms of security.
I've used both, and they're both very good, especially security-wise.
Older versions like 2.2 and lower may be more vulnerable to attacks, but versions 4.2 and up are very secure.
EDIT: The GIF didn't load until the last minute, so this whole discussion went out of context.

Oooh, yeah, she's not one to trifle with.

(I somehow completely glossed over the .gif.)

im not talking about security, im talking about people who dont know tech messing with stuff that they shouldnt know how to get to in the first place. for people who know what their doing, its a dream os.

I am talking about the androids from Dragonball Z!!! I am not here to start an Android vs iOS argument! I am not tech savvy enough to do that!

Looking at their decisions a business model, that comment makes me cringe. Feature denial is as bad as planned obsolescence. Apple hides the important stuff to monopolize their advancements, not to keep idiots from messing with it (that's what license agreements are for: idiot messes with his copy of iOS, Apple has no liability for it). Android leaves their source more accessible so that they can build features faster and take a larger market share. I like companies that make products that teach their consumers how to be better, more productive, and more informed individuals by giving them access to many features and opportunities for expansion. I do NOT like companies that design their product to be deliberately difficult to work with to protect their competitive edge. It's the equivalent of Audi or VW requiring "special dealer tools" to do things like change the oil in their cars, necessitating that you take it into the dealer to get it fixed at a much higher cost.
I blame it on being an economics major, caring more for the effect that feature denial has on the economy (paying more for less? That's just inefficient!). If I was a business major, I'd probably see things differently.

example: idiot deletes sys32. all im saying is that a mass produced and distributed product should be usable without hindrance for ALL types of users. from idiots to einsteins
